Data Refresh Frequency and Volume
How often Shovels updates its data and the volume of new information
Shovels currently refreshes data twice a month, on the 1st and 15th. Nationwide, we add between 5-10 million new records to the dataset each month, along with 1-5 million status updates to existing records. When a permit status or other data field changes, the jurisdiction updates it in their platform, which allows us to access it. We then clean up the data, incorporate it into our system, and release the updates on the 1st and 15th.
