How to use employee count ranges in the API
The Shovels API provides comprehensive data about contractors, including their company size. When querying our contractor endpoints, you'll receive employee count ranges in the response payload, which allows you to filter contractors based on specific size requirements. For example, you might want to target only small businesses with fewer than 10 employees, or perhaps you're looking for enterprise-level contractors with 100+ employees. Our size classifications are determined through multiple data points, including business registrations, permit frequency, and other proprietary indicators to ensure accuracy. This feature is particularly useful for sales teams who need to segment their outreach based on company size.
